This device in combination with the “OMRON Connect” app is used by healthy individuals, patients with known or suspected arrhythmia or health-conscious individuals, in a general household situation for evaluating the possibility of atrial fibrillation, bradycardia, tachycardia, or normal sinus rhythm. The analysis results of ECG rhythms are provided by the app.

Before using for the first time, install the “OMRON connect” app on your smartphone.

This is intended for use by patients with known or suspected arrhythmia and health-conscious individuals in a general household situation.

This device has a clinical-quality ECG recorder which allows users to record and display ECGs on their smartphones with the “OMRON Connect” app.

The “OMRON Connect” app also provides analysis results of the recorded ECG to evaluate whether the heart rhythm is normal or if possible atrial fibrillation, bradycardia, or tachycardia is detected.

This device analyzes the recorded ECGs and detects if the heart rhythm is normal or if there is a possible atrial fibrillation, bradycardia, or tachycardia.

In the single-lead ECG, cardiac activity is recorded in one direction using left and right electrodes. This corresponds to the “I” of a standard electrocardiograph used in medical institutions.

The 6-lead ECG uses three electrodes (Left & right & the electrode for left leg) to calculate and record cardiac activity in 6 different directions. This corresponds to the "I, II, III, aVF, aVL, and aVR" of a standard electrocardiograph used in medical institutions.

• Always keep the device clean.
• Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth.
• When the device is heavily soiled, wipe it with a soft cloth moistened with mild (neutral) detergent. Then, wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth.
• If the electrodes are very dirty, moisten a soft cloth with alcohol-based sanitizer and wipe them.
• Use a clean, lint-free cloth.
• Do not use any abrasive or volatile cleaners.

Your desk or table contains metal: If the device is in contact with a table or other surface containing metal, noise may be generated and recording may not be possible. Record on another table.
Fingers are not in close contact with the electrodes. for accurate recording, keep the device in close contact with bare fingers.
Fingers are dry. If fingers are dry, the electrode may be misjudged as having lost contact with fingers. Moisten a soft cloth with alcohol‑based sanitizer and wipe the electrode, or moisten fingers slightly with a wet towel before use.
The battery is depleted. Replace the battery.
Your smartphone is not placed near the device. Place your smartphone very close to the device.

Recording near equipment that may cause noise or radio interference.
Record ECGs away from electronic devices such as PCs, chargers, wireless routers, and their power cords and table taps.

Your desk or table contains metal: If the device is in contact with a table or other surface containing metal, noise may be generated and recording may not be possible. Record on another table.
Fingers are not in close contact with the electrodes. For accurate recording, keep the device in close contact with bare fingers.
The device or electrodes are being held down too strongly during recording. Rest your forearms and fingers on the flat surface. During recording, relax and avoid straining your arms and finger."
The smartphone is being charged or synchronized with another device, or headphones, etc., are connected. Disconnect headphones, chargers, and other devices connected by cables to the smartphone.
Moving and/or talking during the recording. To obtain an accurate ECG, do not move your body and remain at rest during the recording."
Electrodes are dirty. Dampen a soft cloth with alcohol‑based sanitizer and wipe off the dirt.
Arrhythmia is incorrectly identified. Arrhythmias such as ventricular flutter, ventricular bicuspid pulse, and ventricular tricuspid pulse may be incorrectly identified as “Unreadable”. If you experience symptoms, or if you feel uneasy about your condition even though you are asymptomatic, consult with your doctor.

• When recording an ECG, sit down, do not talk, and remain at rest.
• If your fingers are dry, moisten them slightly with a wet towel.
• Disconnect headphones, chargers, and other devices connected by cables to the smartphone.
• Electrodes should not touch metal parts or other conductive parts.
• Make sure that the device is not deformed or damaged by dropping, etc., and that it is not dirty or wet.
• If the electrodes are very dirty, use a soft cloth or cotton swab moistened with alcohol-based sanitizer to wipe them clean.

Some turbulence is observed before the app detects the heartbeat.
Once the heartbeat detection is complete, it stabilizes and does not affect the analysis results.

While our algorithms are highly accurate, they do require confirmation by a trained Medical Professional, hence the phrase "possible" Afib.
