Product Assessment Flow

At each stage of product planning and design, we conduct product assessments to predict and estimate the potential impact of our products on the environment. The objectives are to minimize the negative environmental impact of Omron products at every stage - including production, distribution, use, maintenance, call-in, disposal and recycling; and to assure that our products fully comply with green laws and regulations in all relevant countries.

First, items to be assessed are listed at product planning. Then third-party reviewers - non R&D people - verify at each stage the validity of assessments based on evidence data. Eco targets are set for each assessment item, and only those products that have met all the set criteria are put into production.
